Best food in the world. Rendang is originally a dish from the Minangkabau ethnic group but it is also made by the Malays in Malaysia, Singapore, in the south of the Philippines and in Brunei. Rendang is a sort of beef curry, simmered for a long time, which allows the meat to soak up all the flavors that make up this unique dish. Depending on the desired end result, cooking rendang in coconut milk and all the spices can be shorter or longer. Classic rendang must be dry enough and should cook for at least 2 to 3 hours. When the curry is cooked for less time, it is a little wet and brown in color, and it is called kalio. When simmered for less time, it is soupy, closer to a Thai curry and is called gulai. It is then typically yellow. Traditional rendang that simmers for hours turns dark brown when it is finished cooking. Market Survey (5th week)

Tamamaung Local Market This time is a different moment, different from last week and other weeks. Now i’m go to the market at night. I few days ago i was in the village and i came back in afternoon so i just have a chance for go to the market at night.  After i asked my friends and searced in google. I get some market locations that operate at night, and one of them is Tamamaung local market ( Pettarani local market, because it operates on side of Pettarani street). Some people also call it “Pasar sore”. From the information i’ve get, some sellers have moved or not sells again there because there have been built some buildings. This market is open from 3 pm to 1 am and i came at 8 o’clock. This market sells kinds of needs including vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken and household needs. on this occasion I will inquire some of the prices of the food items or ingredients sells in this market. and here are some price lists we have asked.
